From Chaos to Calm: My Fall Reset

Updated: Oct 14

Hello, Fall! Time for a Refresh!

Now that summer has wrapped up and we’re diving into the vibrant season of fall, I’m officially in recovery mode! After the whirlwind of one of my busiest time of the year—both at home and at work—I'm ready to take a breath.

With two amazing teenage daughters navigating their own exciting transitions into high school and college, life has been a whirlwind! We’ve celebrated two proms, a high school graduation, and countless graduation parties, all while gearing up for their new journeys. What a ride it’s been!

Let’s not forget that summer is one of many peak seasons for me at work! As families prepare for vacations, I’m right there helping them get travel-ready—because who doesn’t want to look fabulous on their trip? I love it! Moms especially appreciate protective styles for their daughters during those summer swim sessions, and I’m all about keeping those gorgeous tresses safe!

So yes, this past month has been all about recovery—taking it easy and embracing each day with gratitude. I’m proud to say I’ve stuck to my schedule and resisted the urge to overwork myself. Self-care has been my mantra, and I’m making it a priority to uphold my personal and professional boundaries. I’ve been stopping to smell the roses (literally and figuratively!), and let me tell you, being organized has made a world of difference!

Surrounding myself with positive, encouraging people has been a game-changer, too! Plus, I’ve been diving into therapy, which has been incredibly helpful in balancing work and home life. As parents, we often pour so much into our families that it can spill into our work—and vice versa. As an entrepreneur, I have a million ideas buzzing around, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But here’s the good news: there’s no rush! I’m learning to let go of the pressure I put on myself.

By the grace of God, I’m so grateful to be doing what I’ve dreamed of my whole life—helping others on their journey to self-love and confidence. Here’s to embracing this new season with open arms!
